The Island

Koh Phayam island is only about 10 by 5 kilometres. There are neither discos or cars on the island. The majority of the people living on the island are making their income from  rubber and coco nut plantations and also the very famous Phayam cashew nuts.

Koh Phayam Island has numerous shady paths inviting for a hike to another remote bay. It takes about half an hour to walk across the Island, and just over 2 hour to walk from Ao Yai bay in the southwest end up to the northern point of Phayam.

The small village with the ferry pier on the east side has a few shops, some restaurants and one bar , and not to far away from the village there is a Buddist temple with a fantastic Buddha statue.
